Most patients describe the sensation as a quick snap against the skin. The GentleMax Pro Plus uses its Dynamic Cooling Device™ to improve comfort by cooling the skin immediately before each laser pulse.

Most patients achieve their desired results after 6 to 8 treatments, although the exact number depends on the treatment area, hair color, skin type, and individual response.

Yes. The Candela GentleMax Pro Plus combines Alexandrite and Nd:YAG laser technology, allowing treatments to be safely customized for a wide range of skin tones.

Yes. The treatment area should typically be shaved 12 to 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid waxing, tweezing, or plucking for several weeks prior to treatment, as the hair follicle must be present for the laser to be effective.

Dr. Brent Burnette is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and gastroenterologist with over 15 years of experience providing advanced, evidence-based medical care in Las Vegas. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, he earned his undergraduate degree from Hampton University before receiving his medical degree from Meharry Medical College. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans and went on to complete his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Virginia.

Since joining Gastroenterology Associates in 2009, Dr. Burnette has become a managing partner and previously served as Medical Director of the Ambulatory Surgical Center of Southern Nevada. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence. In recognition of his dedication to medicine, he has been consistently recognized as a Top Doctor in Nevada by multiple organizations, including Castle Connolly, one of the nation’s most respected physician rating organizations.
